We currently support Ubuntu 12.04 or Debian Squeeze and newer.
apt-get is the command-line interface to the package handling utility.
It has an update option to ensure the local package index files are in sync with the source of any locally installed packages.
Ubuntu/Debian will automatically check for updates to Mendeley periodically and notify you via the standard software update tools.
